Retail Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates promote credit and loyalty programs, process customer purchases and returns, prepare merchandise for the sales floor, and support store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction goals. The position also involves working collaboratively with peers and supervisors, responding to changing circumstances, and carrying out other duties as assigned. The position is located at Marshalls Store 0111, 1583B New Garden Rd, Greensboro, North Carolina. Starting pay is USD $12.75 to $13.25 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
