About The Position

EZCORP is hiring a Retail Sales Associate / Retail Customer Service Team Member (Pawnbroker) at EZPawn. The role offers a structured career path in a fast-paced retail environment, beginning with a five-week paid trainee program. Successful completion earns a $0.50-per-hour raise and promotion to Pawnbroker. Employees may continue through the Pawnbroker Certification Program for an additional $1 per hour, pursue Lead Pawnbroker (Shift Leader), and apply for Assistant Manager, which includes a six-month training program.

The position involves daily customer interactions and helping customers reach mutually satisfying agreements involving pawn items such as jewelry, electronics, and musical instruments. Team members contribute to a friendly, courteous, and respectful store environment. Compensation is based on experience and includes competitive wages and uncapped monthly bonus potential based on store and individual performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Customer service, cashier, or retail experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test after a conditional offer.
• Self-motivated, positive, outgoing, and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of commonly pawned items, such as tools, jewelry, firearms, or electronics.
• Sales background.
• Bilingual.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting and interacting with customers in person and over the phone.
• Process sales, loans, and extensions.
• Perform store opening and closing duties.
• Create a friendly, courteous, and respectful environment for customers.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulations.
