About The Position
As a Retail Selling Colleague in the Women’s Shoes department, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create personalized shopping experiences. You learn what customers need, recommend suitable products and services, build trust, achieve sales goals, and encourage customer loyalty. The role also includes maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and fitting rooms. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week. Schedules include weekend shifts, and hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules include weekend shifts.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use electronic devices.
- Ability to talk, lift, move, stand, and reach with arms and hands; stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and create friendly, personal conversations that build customer relationships.
- Understand customer needs and provide personalized product and service recommendations.
- Work toward daily sales goals and use effective selling behaviors to achieve individual and store results.
- Acquire new customers by opening credit accounts and explaining loyalty program benefits.
- Keep the sales floor and fitting rooms clean, organized, and shoppable; recover merchandise, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves.
- Learn about new arrivals, popular items, trends, and promotions to engage, educate, and sell confidently.
- Complete customer interactions with a sincere thank-you and ensure customers have what they need.
- Collaborate with and support teammates with honesty, care, and a focus on serving customers and communities.
- Use handheld equipment, computers, and cash registers to perform job functions and process transactions.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
