About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate, internally titled Zone Specialist, assists customers and helps maintain the store’s appearance. The role is responsible for customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance, with primary focus on an assigned store zone. Associates are expected to embody Ollie’s values: teamwork, caring, value-consciousness, commitment, continuous growth, and authenticity.

The position includes maintaining and recovering merchandise according to visual standards, answering customer questions about current promotions and advertisements, and assisting with truck receiving, pricing, merchandising, and store recovery. Associates must be able to meet the stated physical requirements and regularly work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team player and interact well with customers and associates.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products in the assigned zone are merchandised and recovered according to visual merchandise standards.
• Know current promotions and advertisements to answer customer questions and drive sales.
• Assist with receiving the truck, pricing items, merchandising products, and recovering the store.
• Keep the assigned zone neat and organized.
• Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Assist customers and support store maintenance.
