About The Position

As a full-time Verizon Retail Sales Associate, you will work with a team in a Verizon retail store to drive sales and provide customer service. You will connect with customers, identify their needs, recommend technology products and solutions, and close sales. The role also includes ongoing training and development in merchandising and inventory operations, outreach to current customers, and opportunities to participate in Verizon-sponsored community events outside the store. This is an onsite, worksite-based role with 40 scheduled hours per week. Base pay is $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with individual commissions tied to sales performance. Total compensation varies by geography, hours worked, and performance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedules are provided four weeks in advance.
• Openness to picking up additional shifts, typically during summer, November through December, and/or peak vacation periods.

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using technology knowledge and customer service skills.
• Build connections with customers and uncover their needs by asking questions.
• Present product insights and recommend complete sales solutions.
• Use communication skills to close sales and fulfill customer needs with technology solutions.
• Participate in ongoing training and develop skills in merchandising and inventory operations.
• Make outbound calls and send text messages to current Verizon customers interested in products and services.
• Engage with the community at off-site Verizon-sponsored events to expand the customer base.
