Retail Sales Associate – Part Time
About The Position
AutoZone is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to deliver WOW! Customer Service and help customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and store operations by providing product recommendations and automotive advice, maintaining inventory and merchandise displays, and contributing to a positive, knowledgeable retail environment. Associates use AutoZone systems to stay informed about products and promotions and use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. The position offers opportunities for career growth and includes a flexible schedule that may involve mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts.
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated and productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain organization, follow point-of-sale procedures and loss prevention policies, and support proper financial management and smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
- Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
