About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate works at a Salvation Army thrift store, providing customer service and supporting retail operations. The role helps create a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors while processing donations and merchandise into resources that support the Salvation Army’s community programs. The position is part-time, 25 hours per week, with a pay rate of $13.73 per hour. POS system training is provided, with expected proficiency within three months, and ongoing professional development opportunities are available.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, offer assistance, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the Point of Sale system, including opening, closing, and balancing.
• Clean, organize, and restock the store to maintain its appearance.
• Process and display new merchandise to help meet daily production goals.
• Contribute to a positive shopping environment.
