About The Position

As a Retail Sales and Recovery Associate, you help create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You keep the store clean, organized, and visually engaging by maintaining merchandise displays, tidying fitting rooms, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. You provide friendly, personal service while supporting the team in achieving sales goals. You prepare for the day by reviewing goals, new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions. Throughout the day, you welcome customers, maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves. You share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. You collaborate with colleagues, take pride in your work, and seek to improve individual and store results. This is a seasonal position at Macy’s Clackamas Town Center. Full-time colleagues are typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week, and part-time colleagues for 12–24 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.

Requirements

Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
Have flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
Be resourceful, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently as well as with a team.
Be comfortable handling electronic devices.
Meet physical requirements that include talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, reaching, standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
