Seasonal Retail Sales and Recovery Associate, Clackamas Town Center
About The Position
As a Retail Sales & Recovery Colleague, you help create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You keep the store clean, organized, and visually engaging by maintaining merchandise displays, tidying fitting rooms, and ensuring the sales floor is customer-ready. You offer friendly, personal service and support your team in achieving sales goals. Colleagues prepare for each day by reviewing goals, new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions. They welcome customers, maintain the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and assist with merchandise moves. They share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and collaborate with coworkers to serve customers and communities. The role also involves taking pride in work, improving skills, and contributing to individual and store results. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. Macy’s describes full-time colleagues as typically scheduled for 30 or more hours per week and part-time colleagues as typically scheduled for 12–24 hours per week.
Requirements
- Understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Have flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, able to work independently, and effective in a team.
- Be comfortable handling electronic devices.
- Be able to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and a cash register, and process register transactions.
