As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about customers’ needs, provide personalized recommendations, and connect them with suitable products and services. You engage customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and smart selling behaviors to achieve sales goals, and help build customer trust and loyalty. The role also involves keeping the shopping space clean, organized, and welcoming. Colleagues prepare for each day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and helping ensure the sales floor is ready for customers. Throughout the day, they engage customers in friendly, personal conversations; maintain a shoppable sales floor; merchandise new receipts; process damages, testers, and selected merchandise for return to vendors; update signs and pricing; and support merchandise moves. They promote the Loyalty program, ensure customers have what they need, and end interactions with a sincere thank-you. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. The position requires flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical duties include talking, lifting, frequent movement, standing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Colleagues must be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds. Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, is required.
