Seasonal Retail Sales and Recovery Associate, Westfarms
About The Position
As a Retail Sales & Recovery Colleague, you help create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You maintain a clean, organized, and visually engaging store by recovering merchandise displays, tidying fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, and keeping the sales floor customer-ready. You provide friendly, personal service, support sales goals, share Loyalty program benefits, and collaborate with colleagues to serve customers and the community. The role involves using electronic devices and register equipment and requires regular movement and physical activity.
Requirements
- Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Have flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, able to work independently, and effective in a team.
- Be comfortable handling electronic devices.
- Be able to stand for at least two consecutive hours; lift at least 25 pounds; and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Have the close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment required for the role.
Responsibilities
- Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and ready for customers.
- Review goals, new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions to stay informed and ready to sell.
- Welcome customers, make eye contact, and create friendly, personal conversations.
- Recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and support merchandise moves.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their visit.
- Support colleagues through honest, caring, and collaborative teamwork.
- Work toward sales goals, take pride in the work, and learn from colleagues to help deliver individual and store results.
- Use handheld equipment, computers, and cash registers to perform job functions and process transactions.
