About The Position

As a Retail Sales and Recovery Associate at Macy’s, you help create a welcoming shopping experience through genuine hospitality and attention to detail. You keep the store clean, organized, and visually engaging by maintaining merchandise displays, tidying fitting rooms, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. You provide friendly, high-quality service and support your team in achieving sales goals.

Colleagues begin their day by preparing the sales floor, reviewing goals, new arrivals, top sellers, and promotions, and greeting coworkers. During the day, they welcome customers, engage in personal conversations, recover the sales floor and fitting rooms, update signs and pricing, and assist with merchandise moves. They share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and close interactions with a sincere thank-you. Colleagues support one another through honesty, care, and collaboration, take pride in their work, and seek to improve and learn from each other.

This is a seasonal position at Perimeter Mall. Hours depend on business needs and colleague availability. Macy’s describes full-time colleagues as typically working 30 or more hours per week and part-time colleagues as typically working 12–24 hours per week; the posting does not specify the schedule for this position.

Requirements

• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
• Have flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
• Be resourceful, adaptable to changing priorities, able to work independently, and effective in team settings.
• Be comfortable using electronic devices.
• Meet the physical requirements of talking, lifting, constant movement, standing, and reaching with arms and hands.
• Stand for at least two consecutive hours; lift at least 25 pounds; stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
• Have close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Frequently use computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and process register transactions.
