About The Position

The Retail & Rental Associate plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations within both retail and rental departments. This position is responsible for assisting customers with product selection, rental agreements, and providing detailed information about merchandise and rental equipment. The associate will manage inventory, process transactions accurately, and maintain a clean and organized sales floor to enhance the customer experience. Collaboration with team members to meet sales goals and support daily operational tasks is essential. Ultimately, this role contributes to customer satisfaction and business growth by combining sales expertise with rental service knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required.

• Experience in rental services or equipment handling.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
• Knowledge of product categories relevant to the retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in selecting retail products and rental equipment based on their needs and preferences.
• Process sales and rental transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash, credit, or other payment methods.
• Prepare and explain rental agreements, ensuring customers understand terms, conditions, and return policies.
• Maintain inventory levels by restocking shelves, conducting regular inventory counts, and reporting discrepancies.
• Ensure the retail and rental areas are clean, organized, and visually appealing to customers.
• Provide product demonstrations and answer customer inquiries regarding features, usage, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and support promotional activities.
• Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming merchandise and rental equipment for quality and accuracy.
