About The Position

Magic Memories is hiring a Retail Photo Operations Assistant Manager at Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The role supports a high-volume souvenir photography retail operation, helps lead the retail team, and provides guests with friendly service and memorable photographic experiences. The Assistant Manager may act as lead manager when the Retail Photography Manager is absent and helps ensure the team meets guest-service and sales goals.

The position is full-time and non-exempt. Shifts are available any day of the week, including weekends, during attraction operating hours; the schedule is flexible. The role offers a starting rate of $17.50 per hour, performance-based bonuses, commission, and potential medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits. Paid training and opportunities for growth and advancement are also offered.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of people-management experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including supporting teams, developing culture, coaching, and ongoing performance management.
• Ability and drive to contribute in a hands-on role, with demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy retail environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, management, and cross-functional team members.
• Professional communication skills and appearance.
• Ability to support operations seven days a week, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of previous guest-service experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or retail; preferred but not required.
• Experience in digital photography.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide world-class service while creating memorable experiences.
• Assist in leading the retail team to achieve sales goals.
• Assist with operating all aspects of a high-volume souvenir photography retail operation.
• Act as lead manager when the Retail Photography Manager is absent.
• Provide floor supervision and handle administrative duties while keeping the team focused on guest service and sales goals.
• Develop, train, and motivate staff to achieve guest-service and financial results.
• Respond to guest requests, expectations, and needs to ensure excellent customer service.
• Take photographs and help guests create memorable souvenirs.
