About The Position

Cardinal Health is seeking a highly motivated technician for a company-owned retail contract pharmacy serving community health centers. The role supports patients in communities with significant healthcare needs by building relationships with them and assisting pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medications. This part-time/PRN position covers every Thursday and provides additional coverage as needed for PTO. The main location is West New York, New Jersey, with coverage at the Passaic site as needed. North Hudson Community Pharmacy hours are Monday 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday 8:30 a.m.–7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m., and Sunday closed.

Requirements

High school degree or equivalent.
Registration in the state where the position is located, if applicable.
PTCB certification or ability to obtain certification within 180 days of employment.
Fluency in Spanish.
May require vendor credentialing.

Nice To Haves

One year of related retail pharmacy technician experience.
340B experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain professional working relationships with pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Adapt to varied pharmacy requirements as departmental demands change.
Remain available to customers and patients and maintain a friendly, helpful attitude.
Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organize medications for pharmacists to dispense by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities.
Ensure medications are available by delivering them to patients and ordering them when needed.
Contribute to team efforts by completing related tasks as needed.
Work with the pharmacy team to ensure best practices are followed regarding 340B.
