About The Position

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position that supports advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, advanced automotive systems, and parts, along with the ability to identify and troubleshoot customer needs, assist with projects, and source parts through options such as special orders, FDO, and second sources. The position also requires in-depth knowledge of store inventory and maintenance processes. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
Proven sales ability and experience fulfilling customer transactions.
Valid driver's license.
Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability, including internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, and exhaust systems.
Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management; must speak and write English.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals, and to write simple correspondence.
Ability to understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Effective use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Spanish language skills.
ASE certification.

Responsibilities

Facilitate the selling experience for DIY customers in person and by phone.
Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
Manage DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
Ensure high standards of customer service and store appearance.
Perform key-holder responsibilities, including assigning and completing tasks, maintaining safety, and opening and closing duties.
Assist with inventory processes such as truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
