About The Position

The Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales position that supports advanced functions of the DIY business. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, parts, inventory, and maintenance processes. The Retail Parts Pro assists DIY customers with advanced part identification, troubleshooting, project guidance, product recommendations, and sourcing parts from options such as special orders, FDO, and second sources. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

Have 3–5 years of prior automotive parts experience.
Demonstrate proven sales ability and experience fulfilling customer transactions.
Have a valid driver's license.
Have working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability, including internal engine, suspension, brakes, electronic systems, and exhaust.
Communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing, and build strong relationships with customers, peers, and management.
Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals, and write simple correspondence.
Understand and execute written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment.
Use basic math accurately, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively.
Have strong organizational skills.
Be able to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

Spanish language ability.
ASE P2 certification or equivalent readiness.
ASE certification.

Responsibilities

Provide a GAS2 selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls.
Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives.
Manage DIY services, including battery installation and testing and wiper installation.
Maintain high standards of customer service and store appearance.
Perform key-holder duties, including task assignment and completion, safety responsibilities, and opening and closing duties.
Assist with store inventory processes, including truck put-away, shoot-outs, cycle counts, and back stock.
Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
