About The Position

Franz Family Bakery is seeking a reliable, safety-oriented Retail Outlet Associate to help ensure customers have quality products on store shelves. The role is part-time, with hours that vary according to business needs. New employees may be assigned any workday from Monday through Sunday and any hours required by the store schedule. A set schedule of days, shifts, and/or weekly hours is determined solely through the seniority process. The position includes customer service, checkout, stocking, inventory, store organization and cleaning, routine accounting, and opening or securing the store as directed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience with cash-handling processes.
Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen, and physical.
Strong work ethic and safety orientation.
Ability to maneuver large, bulky racks and regularly lift an average of 25 pounds.
Willingness to perform light accounting duties, inventory counts, and product ordering.

A solid work history, including at least one year at previous jobs, is preferred.

Responsibilities

Answer customer inquiries about merchandise and advise customers on merchandise selections.
Itemize and tally merchandise at checkout using a point-of-sale system.
Administer change accurately.
Take inventory or examine merchandise to identify items to restock or order.
Stock and restock shelves, racks, cases, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
Organize merchandise received from depots and prepare products for sale.
Clean display cases, shelves, floors, and aisles.
Perform routine accounting tasks to record daily transactions according to established procedures.
Open the store or secure it upon closure as directed to support safe store operations.
Support and adhere to Franz Core Values.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
