About The Position

Magic Memories is hiring a Retail Photo Operations Manager for its Polar Express New Orleans attraction in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role manages a high-volume souvenir photography retail operation, leading the team to meet guest-service and financial goals. The manager provides floor supervision and handles administrative duties, trains and motivates staff, and responds to guest requests and needs in a fast-paced environment. The position offers the chance to interact with guests from around the world. Magic Memories operates retail teams that capture guests’ experiences at attractions and turn them into printed and digital storytelling products. The company describes its work as focused on capturing, creating, and sharing memories and offers opportunities for growth and advancement. This is a seasonal, temporary, non-exempt position ending January 2, 2027. Starting pay is $28.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of experience in tourism venue management, or at least 3 years of experience as an assistant in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to support teams, develop culture, coach, and manage ongoing performance.
Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets and KPIs in a busy environment.
A history of building strong, supportive, and effective relationships with operating peers and staff.
Previous experience across the employment life cycle, including recruitment, hiring, monitoring, and performance evaluation of venue personnel.
Sound judgment in decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritizing duties.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with customers, management, and cross-functional team members.
Professional communication skills and appearance.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Experience in retail souvenir photography is preferable.
