About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling shipments and receiving, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a positive in-store experience. The role calls for collaboration, customer focus, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems. Associates help protect store assets and people by following established protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place point-of-purchase signage and price signs.
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
