About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling shipments and inventory, completing daily tasks, and merchandising products to help create a positive customer experience. Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Able to cooperate and work as part of a team.
• Able to provide an excellent customer experience and connect meaningfully with customers.
• Able to identify opportunities or issues and follow through, learn quickly, and take initiative.
• Able to manage priorities, multitask, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Able to complete tasks thoroughly and on time.
• Able to learn and follow protocols and guidelines to protect assets and people.
• Able to learn and use retail systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Handle tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare and perform inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
