About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by shipping and receiving stock and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great in-store experience. The role includes inventory control, cycle counting, stocking and merchandising to planograms, signage and price-sign placement, cash handling, and shrink awareness and control. Successful associates collaborate with teammates, focus on customer service, take initiative, stay organized and attentive to detail in a fast-paced environment, protect assets and people by following protocols, and learn and use retail technology and systems.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and build good working relationships.
Customer service skills and ability to provide a positive customer experience.
Initiative, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of and help control shrink.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
