About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by handling inventory and shipments, completing daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to create a positive customer experience. The role calls for collaboration, customer focus, initiative, organization, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and use retail technology and systems. Associates help protect people and company assets by following applicable protocols and guidelines. The listed pay range is $18.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on background and experience; actual compensation may vary based on experience, education, location, and other factors.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to connect with customers.
• Initiative and willingness to learn quickly and take action independently.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-urgency environment.
• Ability to learn and use technology, retail systems, equipment, and computer programs needed for the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks related to inventory control.
• Ship and receive gear and other items.
• Prepare for and execute inventory cycle counts.
• Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
• Print and place point-of-purchase signage and price signs.
• Handle cash.
• Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
