About The Position

Guitar Center’s Operations Associate supports store operations by shipping and receiving stock and shipments, administering daily tasks, and ensuring products are merchandised to provide customers with a great in-store experience. The role involves inventory control, cycle counts, stocking and merchandising, signage and price-tag placement, cash handling, and shrink awareness and control. Associates are expected to collaborate with teammates, focus on customer service, take initiative, stay organized in a fast-paced environment, protect people and assets by following protocols, and learn the technology and systems needed for the role.

Requirements

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work in a loud environment for 5–8 hours.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a team.
Customer-service focus and ability to provide a positive customer experience.
Initiative, organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to learn and use retail technology, systems, equipment, and computer programs.

Responsibilities

Perform tasks related to inventory control.
Ship and receive gear and other items.
Prepare and execute inventory cycle counts.
Stock and merchandise products according to a planogram.
Print and place signage and price signs (POP).
Handle cash.
Maintain awareness of shrink and help control it.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
