About The Position

The Retail Merchandising Coordinator executes receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and modeling exceptional customer service. The Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing merchandise onto the sales floor; trains and mentors Associates on merchandising and processing principles; and ensures merchandise is tagged, hung, secured, and coded correctly. The role coordinates the flow of goods with the Coordinator on Duty, monitors team productivity, provides coaching and feedback, and organizes back stock for replenishment. It also maintains merchandising, signage, backroom cleanliness, safety, recycling, and hazardous waste standards; communicates priorities and progress; supports training, credit and loyalty programs, and shrink reduction; and ensures compliance with labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience and model exceptional customer service.
Promote honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and prioritize as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
