About The Position

At TJX Companies, the Retail Merchandising Coordinator is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards and ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and role-modeling exceptional customer service.

The Coordinator orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes processing merchandise onto the sales floor. They train and mentor Associates, monitor team productivity, coordinate the flow of goods with the Coordinator on Duty, and work with Management on training needs. The role also supports store priorities, merchandising and signage standards, backroom organization, compliance, safety, and shrink-reduction programs.

The position is at TJ Maxx Store 1489 in Minot, North Dakota. The starting pay range is USD $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team.
• Engage and interact with customers, maintain a clean and organized store, and role-model exceptional customer service.
• Promote a positive internal and external customer experience and a culture of honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality.
• Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
• Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
• Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
• Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure the efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
• Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
• Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
• Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
• Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with Management and Associates and provide progress updates.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
