Part Time Retail Merchandiser

About The Position

SPAR is hiring a part-time Retail Merchandiser to service a variety of clients and retailers on weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly visits. Merchandising work is generally scheduled within a client’s time window rather than fixed hours, offering a flexible schedule. Work may include servicing products, completing resets and product cut-ins, processing returns, placing point-of-purchase materials, and other general merchandising activities. The role may involve traveling between stores to set up or display merchandise and current promotions. SPAR describes itself as a retail and consumer goods services company with more than 50 years of experience, providing end-to-end services focused on product availability and presentation.

Requirements

Merchandising and/or retail experience.
Availability during weekday daytime hours.
Ability to understand planograms.
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
Internet access and an active email address.
An Android or iOS smartphone and/or tablet for wireless reporting.
Reliable transportation; some travel is involved.

Responsibilities

Meet with the site or department manager, as applicable, to review service-call objectives.
Locate displays and remove old products from them.
Complete full inventory and scanning.
Validate product stocking, merchandising, and display systems using planograms.
Maintain quality results by following and enforcing standards.
Travel between stores as needed to manage merchandise setup, displays, or current promotions.
Complete the call form and upload photos taken.
Report completed client work on the same day as service.
