About The Position

The Seasonal Retail Merchandise Associate works as a daytime cashier and supports store operations while delivering a highly satisfied customer experience. The role includes engaging with customers, accurately processing purchases and returns, maintaining merchandise and sales-floor standards, and helping keep the store clean, organized, and safe. Associates may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. Candidates must be available in both the morning and afternoon or midday and must be willing to cashier.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
