About The Position

The Seasonal Retail Merchandise Associate supports Marshalls store operations and customer service, with a focus on daytime cashiering. Candidates must be available mornings and afternoons/midday, and must be willing to cashier. The associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, maintaining a clean and organized store, and following operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards. The role may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including morning and afternoon/midday availability.
• Must be willing to cashier.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Able to multitask.
• Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
• Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Ring purchases and returns accurately and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the company’s merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
