About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, loss-prevention, labor, and safety standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and contributes to store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts. The position is based at the Sierra store in Silverdale, Washington. The starting pay range is $17.13–$17.63 per hour; the full pay range is $17.13–$27.20 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
