About The Position

The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role supports positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor; and maintains merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and organization standards. The associate also supports shrink reduction and safety programs, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and completes other assigned duties. The position is at the TJ Maxx store at 2780 S. 6th Street, Klamath Falls, Oregon. The starting pay range is USD $15.50 to $16.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Provide a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and embodying customer experience principles.

Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain and clean the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, company policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
May be cross-trained in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
