Retail Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Retail Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes assisting with customer transactions and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, and supporting store safety and shrink-reduction goals. Associates are expected to contribute to a positive store culture and work effectively with customers, peers, and supervisors. The position is at the TJ Maxx store at 8849 Glades Road in Boca Raton, Florida. Starting pay is USD $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and modeling customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
