About The Position

Love’s offers an 11-week Retail Management Internship that provides hands-on experience managing high-volume, fast-paced travel centers, including food service and truck care. Interns work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and customer service while helping professional drivers and travelers get back on the road quickly. The program is designed to prepare interns for potential career opportunities with Love’s.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year program pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check; additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT physical.
Confidently interact with customers and team members, with potential to lead.
Willingness to learn by doing in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
Ability to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
Learn how to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
Deliver customer service and gain experience resolving issues.
Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
Understand and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
Collaborate on a cross-functional project with interns and leaders across departments.
