About The Position

Love’s offers an 11-week Retail Management Internship in Columbus, Minnesota, for Summer 2027. Interns gain hands-on experience managing high-volume, fast-paced travel centers, including food service and truck care. Working alongside experienced leaders, interns learn facility operations, team management, and customer service while supporting professional drivers and travelers. The program is designed to prepare interns for potential careers with Love’s.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a two- or four-year program pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT Physical.
Confident interacting with customers and team members, with potential to lead.
Willingness to learn by doing in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Ability to navigate computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
Ability to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
Learn to drive sales, manage costs, and support profitability.
Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
Deliver exceptional customer service and help resolve issues.
Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
Learn and help enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
Collaborate with interns and leaders across departments on a cross-functional project.
