About The Position

Love’s offers an 11-week Retail Management Internship providing hands-on experience managing high-volume, fast-paced travel centers, including food service and truck care. Interns work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility operations, team management, and customer service while supporting professional drivers and travelers. The program is designed to prepare interns for a potential career with Love’s. The internship includes a Monday through Friday schedule and pays $18 per hour. It offers hands-on training, mentorship, leadership and career development, company-paid travel, and the opportunity to apply skills in real-world settings. Full-time employment may be available after the internship.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a two- or four-year program, pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check; additional screening may include a motor vehicle check and/or DOT physical.
Confidence interacting with customers and team members, with potential to lead.
Willingness to learn by doing in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Ability to navigate various computer programs, systems, and technology tools as part of daily operations.
Ability to talk, hear, move around, lift up to 50 pounds, and see clearly to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.

Gain experience delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues.
Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
