About The Position

A Visionworks General Manager leads the store’s people and business. The role calls for a business-savvy self-starter who understands profitability and the factors that drive success, while managing a service-driven team to deliver a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey from doctor appointment through eyewear pickup. The General Manager is responsible for maximizing store profitability without compromising patient and customer experience and for meeting financial and performance goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Three or more years of related experience.
A current State Opticians License for licensed General Managers.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Optical management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maximize store profitability while maintaining a positive patient and customer experience, and set and exceed organizational financial and performance goals.
Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs, associates, and the patient and customer experience.
Plan and prepare for each business day by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
Hire, train, coach, develop, and support store associates so they perform their roles excellently and provide a strong patient and customer experience.
Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient and customer experience when needed.
Lead, execute, and improve broad operational activities to meet store financial and customer experience goals.
