About The Position

A Visionworks General Manager leads both the store team and the business. The role is suited to a business-savvy self-starter who understands profitability and the factors that drive success. The General Manager leads a service-driven team to create a simple, human, and bold patient and customer journey, from the doctor appointment through eyewear pickup. The position is responsible for maximizing store profitability while preserving the patient and customer experience and achieving organizational financial and performance goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Three or more years of related experience required.
Licensed General Managers must hold a current State Opticians License.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Optical management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maximize store profitability without compromising the patient or customer experience, and set and exceed organizational financial and performance goals.
Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs, associates, and the patient and customer experience.
Prepare and plan daily business by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
Hire, train, coach, develop, and support store associates so they excel in their roles and deliver a strong patient and customer experience.
Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient and customer experience when needed.
Lead, execute, and improve broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
