About The Position

A Visionworks General Manager is a leader of people and the business, responsible for store profitability and the patient and customer experience. The role manages a service-driven team to provide a simple, human, and bold journey from doctor appointment through eyewear pickup. The General Manager works with the Doctor on business needs, associates, and the patient and customer experience, and plans daily operations around store traffic, doctor appointments, and eyewear services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of related experience.
• Current State Opticians License for licensed General Managers.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Optical management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maximize store profitability while maintaining the patient and customer experience by setting and exceeding financial and performance goals.
• Engage regularly with the Doctor to discuss business needs, associates, and the patient and customer experience.
• Plan and prepare daily business by managing incoming traffic, doctor appointments, and scheduled eyewear services.
• Hire, train, coach, develop, and support store associates so they perform their roles effectively and deliver a strong patient and customer experience.
• Remove obstacles and resolve issues in the patient and customer experience when needed.
• Lead, execute, and improve broad operational activities to meet the store’s financial and customer experience goals.
