About The Position

The Retail General Manager directs retail team operations to ensure exceptional guest service and consistent execution of the Tommy Bahama lifestyle across retail locations. The role collaborates on team meetings and communication of retail programs, implements strategies and learning programs to help team members promote sales, and hires and mentors employees. The General Manager supports team members’ career development and helps ensure business decisions reflect Tommy Bahama values and preserve the company culture.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of retail experience.
• At least 3 years of retail management or leadership experience.
• Exposure to merchandising and retail visual concepts.
• Experience coaching and developing a team.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to collaborate, analyze reports, identify opportunities, and take initiative in making merchandising and presentation adjustments.
• College degree in Business or a related field.
• Willingness to perform other duties as required to support the business.

Responsibilities

• Direct retail team operations, ensuring exceptional service and appropriate execution of the Tommy Bahama lifestyle across retail locations.
• Co-manage team meetings with Retail as needed and ensure retail programs are consistently communicated and executed between teams.
• Implement strategies and facilitate learning and training programs that enable Retail Team Members to promote sales.
• Hire and mentor employees, assist with their career development, and promote understanding of Tommy Bahama values and commitment to maintaining the company culture.
• Perform other duties as required to support the business.
