About The Position

Under the supervision of the Department Manager, the Retail Services Worker assists with assembling and delivering meals and food products for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. The position maintains the Café and operates the Micros system while following established cash-handling procedures.

• Previous retail experience, cooking experience, prep-cook experience, or experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food using standardized recipes and safety guidelines in a timely manner.
• Ensure food and supplies are ready for service at established times.
• Monitor food held for service to ensure it remains within established temperature ranges, record temperatures every two hours, and correct items that are outside the proper range.
• Maintain adequate supplies of food items for sale and adequate food and non-food stock.
• Maintain an efficient pace in the café by performing cashier duties, cleaning, restocking, and preparing the café for the upcoming meal period.
• Perform other duties as required.
