Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Bakersfield Valley Plaza
About The Position
As a seasonal fragrance sales support colleague, you will help create a warm, inviting experience in Macy’s fragrance department. You will maintain a beautifully merchandised and fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the floor. Duties include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions, while providing attentive and hospitable service to customers. The role combines customer service and operational support, anticipating team needs and keeping the space ready for shoppers during the busy season. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, fully stocked, and shoppable sales floor.
- Review sales goals and stay informed about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Welcome customers, engage in friendly conversations, and build customer relationships.
- Merchandise new receipts and process damages, testers, and selected merchandise for return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, assist customers with their needs, and provide a sincere farewell.
- Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration.
- Work toward sales goals and contribute to individual and store results.
- Assist with register transactions and other sales support tasks.
