About The Position

The Facilities Associate helps provide a positive customer experience by maintaining a clean, safe, and functional store environment in accordance with company standards. The role includes interior and, depending on store lease specifications, exterior upkeep. Tasks include cleaning floors and other surfaces, emptying trash, dusting, cleaning windows, maintaining building supplies, and identifying and reporting hazards. The position may also support merchandising, stocking, pricing, displays, and customer service, including operating a cash register as needed. All duties are performed with care for customer and associate safety and to safeguard company property.

Requirements

Prior facilities experience is required.
Ability to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to perform physical activities including using hand tools, climbing or descending a ladder, moving, reaching, lifting, and positioning oneself to complete tasks.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a retail environment or customer service is preferred.
Basic math and reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify and correct maintenance and safety issues inside and outside the store to protect associates and customers.
Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors, steps, and similar surfaces.
Empty waste containers and remove interior trash, litter, and debris.
Check and maintain supplies for bathrooms, breakrooms, and other areas of the building.
Keep building approaches clear of debris, snow, and other obstructions.
Keep work and storage areas and materials safe, clean, and orderly; label and properly store cleaning supplies.
Provide exceptional customer service on the sales floor and at the point of sale.
Assist with merchandising, including stocking, displays, and pricing, and operate a cash register as needed.
Perform duties with a focus on safeguarding company property.
Communicate issues to store leadership in a timely manner.
