About The Position

The Retail Customer Service Associate performs merchandise protection procedures, monitors entrance and exit activity, and provides superior customer service to members. The role supports club policies, procedures, and compliance while helping maintain a safe, positive, clean, and organized environment. Associates greet and assist members, resolve or escalate concerns, follow merchandise protection and loss-prevention procedures, and may work in other departments as needed. Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to use a smart handheld device.
• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Must have been employed with the company for at least 6 months.
• Must be at least 18 years of age, except in Indiana, where the minimum age is 19, and Delaware, where the minimum age is 21.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and thank members promptly and professionally; resolve concerns courteously and escalate issues to management when necessary.
• Maintain understanding of merchandise protection procedures and shrink alert protocols.
• Review and maintain the AP Alert Binder according to AP standards.
• Follow BEST procedures, cross-check merchandise against member register receipts, verify high-dollar items, record discrepancies, and notify the front line to rectify them.
• Audit Express Pay, BOPIC, Curbside Pick-up, and Same Day Delivery according to company procedures.
• Inspect known repack articles to execute repack awareness guidelines.
• Monitor member and visitor traffic entering and exiting the club.
• Respond to Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) alarms according to established procedures.
• Maintain high safety standards for members and team members.
• Inspect team members’, members’, and vendors’ bags, backpacks, briefcases, and lunch boxes as they leave the building.
• Process empty water jug return vouchers for members.
• Maintain club policies and procedures.
• Perform other assigned duties, including working in other departments as needed.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Work collaboratively to uphold club standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, and member service.
