About The Position

Flowerama is seeking hardworking, upbeat, and dependable Retail/Customer Service Associates for day, evening, and weekend shifts in its florist and gift store. The role is suited to applicants with retail and customer service experience who can work as part of a team, complete tasks promptly, and provide strong customer service in a fast-paced, creative environment. Familiarity with the florist business and floral design experience are helpful but not required.

The store is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Operating hours may be extended during busy holiday periods. Employees are expected to work extended hours during Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day weeks, including on Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Both part-time and full-time employees receive specified benefits; additional insurance benefits are available to full-time employees.

Requirements

• Previous retail sales experience.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Strong telephone skills and the ability to establish rapport with customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Typing ability of 30 WPM.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours daily and up to 10 hours seasonally.
• Commitment to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Availability for extended hours during Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day weeks, including those holidays.
