Retail Backroom Associate
About The Position
The Retail Backroom Associate supports store operations and customer service at Marshalls. The role is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience through customer engagement and by maintaining a clean, organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor, supports store recovery and cleanliness, and contributes to shrink reduction and safety programs. The role also includes ringing purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, and upholding a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
