About The Position

The Retail Backroom Associate helps deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The associate processes merchandise for the sales floor, supports merchandising and store recovery, and may assist with ringing customer purchases and returns. The role also contributes to store culture, shrink reduction, safety awareness, and the maintenance of cleanliness and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
