About The Position

The Retail Backroom Associate supports store operations by providing a highly satisfactory customer experience, processing merchandise, and maintaining an organized and clean store environment. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to meet business needs. The associate also contributes to a positive store culture, safety awareness, and shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while following established customer-experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy, procedures, and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in upkeep of the entire store.
• Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
