About The Position

SSA is hiring a seasonal Retail Associate for Wild Lights evenings through December. The associate supports retail operations at a cultural attraction by serving guests, maintaining merchandise and work areas, and contributing to a memorable guest experience. The role reports to Retail Supervisor(s), the Assistant Retail Operations Manager, and the Retail Operations Manager. Previous experience is not required, and candidates of all education backgrounds are eligible.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently, with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer knowledge and skill with POS systems and Excel.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move and handle boxes weighing 10–35 pounds, including lifting.
• Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill guests’ needs quickly and efficiently.
• Notify retail leadership when item quantities are low or when special requests arise, and work with the warehouse team to pull and replenish items as needed.
• Relay relevant customer comments to a supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including cleaning tables, chairs, and equipment and keeping service areas free of debris.
• Uphold company policies and procedures and perform SSA EXTRA Guest Service steps to create a memorable experience for guests and clients.
• Check and restock supplies in counter areas, floor displays, stands, and cabinets neatly, accurately, and promptly.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer when assigned.
• Merchandise products to maximize sales and increase sales through promotions or suggestive selling.
• Support company and client sustainability and conservation guidelines, and share knowledge of those efforts with unit staff as appropriate.
• Support community efforts through hiring, engagement activities, and opportunities to give back.
• Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
• Promote an inclusive and supportive approach within the Brand team and across units, and help remove barriers while empowering team members’ growth and opportunities.
