About The Position

As a Retail Associate, you serve as a brand ambassador and help deliver exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interactions. You use problem-solving and sales abilities to answer customer questions and make product recommendations while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company’s values of customer service and teamwork. Associates help ensure products are available on the sales floor, maintain visual displays, address customer inquiries, and operate checkout processes, while supporting the Store Leadership team and the company’s mission of connecting active people with their passions.

This is a seasonal position paying $14.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 16 years old. The role offers flexible schedules and opportunities for advancement. Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Up to 2 years of experience in a position or specialization.
• Skill operating inventory and point-of-sale systems and other retail software tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly with others.
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and according to location-specific business trends or forecasts.
• Ability to frequently move about in an active or strenuous environment and frequently adjust or move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED is preferred; no specific education is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to questions or issues about product features, benefits, and availability, understanding consumer needs, demonstrating merchandise, and recommending suitable options.
• Maintain visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety standards; retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Perform cash register transactions, including sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program connections, accurately and efficiently.
• Support store profitability by accurately and efficiently receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming and outgoing products.
