About The Position

The Retail Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may include cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback. The position is at HomeGoods Store 1017 in Jacksonville, North Carolina. Starting pay is $12.75 to $13.25 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work in multiple areas of the store if cross-trained to support business needs.
